If you know what county the person lives in, or has lived in, sometimes the county websites have a section that shows criminal history, i.e. what the charges are and if they were found guilty, etc. Google the county, state, find the site and see if it has the option. Otherwise, you'll have to pay some $$ the get a background check. Those sites are all over the place, just Google "background check" and go from there. Good luck!

If it was a sexual offense such as pedophilia or rape or anything like that, or battery, you can look on this website. It is the link for the National Sex Offender Registry.

you have to look up the sheriff in the county where the person was arrested or convicted. not all counties make this info a matter of public record.
