Run the single 3". It'll be cheaper and will flow well enough unless you are running a blown big block or some such monster motor.

Figure out the combined diameter of each type. To point, assuming that the overall length is the same.the one with the largest diameter develops less back pressure. However, whether the difference is significant enough to spend the extra money, I'm not sure. Excluding high performance engines, I'd go for the 3" in this application.

Hola Pelos, your jeep has a v-8???, if so, you better run the duals, if you have headers, use the 2.2.5, if not I suggest you use 2 1/4" tube, if you can install flowmasters, the best.
Don't forget the equalizer tube between your lines, they help to keep back pressure minimum and lowers the sound a little.

single 3 is enough for up to 400 cubic inches you can do dual 2.25 for same power if you use duals get a crossover pipe since youll need to split it then cross over again then buy twice as many mufflers i would not use duals on it just for the sake of money

Dual exahaust. Basically the way speed and performance works, is the faster you get the air in the engine, in respect to how fast you can get it out, the better both will be. Intake is no problem.....it's getting the air out that is the problem. 4.5" will do the trick faster than 3".
