It depends on the men and their spouse to be honest. I married a marine...their motto is loyalty and I was cheated on while he was in dessert storm years ago. Does it happen now? yes, we still have a lot of military friends stationed in Iraq and Afganistan . Of the six, four of them have cheated with other women in their unit. It kills me, here they have spouses at home sending them care packages, staying up till the wee hours of the morning so they don't miss a phone call and they do this? It angered me so much, I asked one of them why and this is what I was told: Over there it's a different life. You don't know if each day is your last. During all the misery and suffering that goes on over there on a daily basis, they get homesick and start confiding in each other, this ends up leading to more. It's not an intentional thing, but it brings them comfort where they have none. The ones that don't cheat have spouses that write letters every day, send care packages and pictures weekly, update them on the most boring of events that happen at home, so in a sense it's as if the soldier never left. I'm not sure if that answers your question, or if you have a soldier for a spouse. However, one thing I am sure of, is that the most strongest of love is not enough to survive the effects of war that a soldier faces each day. It takes everything you have and then some to keep reminding that soldier he/she is loved and someone is waiting for them at home.

Yes, especially if they are stationed in the U.S., The Philippines, Okinawa (good red light district there), & Panama

A soldier or Marine can get a belly warmer in the Philippines to shack-up off base for $25 dollars a week and she'll cook, clean, suck, ****, and entertain guests. That's an exceptional value!

Just like in the civilian world, some do, some don't. What's the difference? My husband is one of them that doesn't (he's in the Navy). Men/women will cheat if they choose to, it doesn't matter what line of work they're in or even if they don't work at all for that matter.

Some do, some don't. It depends on the person. The same goes for the wives left at home. Some cheat, some don't.
