How can I beat the other bidders on Ebay?

I bid on ebay items a lot. I want to find a better way to win the items. I know you can auto bid with a 3rd party to out bid anyone doing the bid manually while refreshing their screen. I want to beat this people so they don't see me coming.

I have shopped on Ebay for years. I came across a free tool that will bid for you. You can set it up to bid 5 seconds before the bid ends. The other bidders don't even see you coming. It works flawlessly. You set your max bid and it does the rest...even while you are away from your computer. I wouldn't bid on ebay without it.

Bid high and Ebay will adjust your bid to just above the next highest bidder. It's a guessing game but no one else will know what your high bid is.

I agree with the first poster. http://www.auctionsniper-ebay.blogspot.com/ has worked well for me.

I set it up well in advance and have won every item I bid on. The great thing is with this bidding tool is that is saves you money.

It out bids everyone who waits to the last minute and keep refreshing their page. This tool just picks it off.

wait until the last minute, and stay glued to your computer!!! Bid on the item for the last 30 seconds, and if the other person keeps outbidding you...just keep going higher! That's how I always win!!!! Last minute bidding!!! have fun!! happy bidding!!! =)

Dude.....Bid on a clue.....It sounds like you're the kind of eBay'er who has to have an item no matter the cost....I can sympathize w/ you, because I used to be like that when I first started 10 or so years ago...THE OBJECT AS A BUYER IS TO PAY THE SMALLEST PRICE POSSIBLE...

I'm guessing that you're wanting items that are readily available things that you can buy at a retail outlet...

Here's my example of how to "win" on eBay....

Take a Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset that "retails" for $120...Best Buy "retails" them for around $90+tax....You can "retail" order them online for around $55-$75+shipping...

Now comes the eBay part...

After you do the H700 search, look in the "yellow" frame on the left, and check the "COMPLETED ITEMS" box, and you can see what people have paid for these for that last 2 weeks or so....The average price here (with shipping) is between $32-$45....A month or so ago the average price was around $37-$52...

I decided I wanted 1 of these, but didn't want to pay those kinds of prices....The first thing to do when bidding is to find out what the SHIPPING price is....The price to send an H700 by USPS PRIORITY mail (2-3 days) is right around $5 (even less if you use a slower method), add in another $1 for packing material, so now you're at $6...Most guys charge around $13 or MORE for shipping,so you can see where they're making their $$ on the "handling" end of shipping and handling...Sooo

I decided that I wanted to pay around $23 TOPS for one of these, so when I look at the individual listings, I look to see what the sellers rating is, then look at "view sellers other items"...From there, you can tighten up the search to look for your item (H700), some of the sellers I looked at were listing 10 or more of these H700's a DAY!!!!

So I find who the "bulk" sellers are, place my bid for $10 on every one they have listed that day, and forget about it....A lot of people bid on these things like they are the LAST one available...And then they end up paying too much for them....

It took me 3 weeks of bidding every day, but I finally ended getting one for $9 plus $13 shipping....$22 TOTAL!!! That's a far cry from the $120 list price.....

Finally, don't get hooked in by phrases like "RARE" or "VINTAGE"....A 1967 Mustang Shelby GT 350-H is rare (only made 995) is RARE....a 1997 Mustang is NOT.....A 1972 Gibson Les Paul guitar is VINTAGE....A 3 year old Les Paul is not (yet)....

Instead of going to the auctions go to Ebay stores there you can buy the items and not have to go thro all the bidding stuff.

You can bid really high (and you better be prepared to pay) or you can do the sniper method (which I hate it when it's done to me). The way I "sniper" attack is wait till the last few min. and then put a large bid on it they can't outbid.

I snipe the last 4 minutes with the highest amount I am willing to pay, if I lost it then so be it. I was only going to pay X amount and that is it. There are websites to snipe, I never used them. I have been 9 years on eBay and get most of what I want.
