Muslims women dont agree with being one of many wives. They Dont all cover their faces and their entire bodies..... Some do but it is an inerpretation by certain ethnic groups...
they are not slaves... My wife ( Muslim ) is very much of a strong minded woman as any american woman. Its ridiculous that people still choose to believe thiose stupid stereotypes...oh well

hey class 4. i dont care about going to the middeast. even if we are not at war it was never a place i was interested in going. I LIVE IN INDONESIA. And yes my wife went to college for four years. she is very independent. She does as she wants. MOROn

well said! i'm a muslim girl as well and i can see what u r talkin abt, am sick of all the prejudice and ignorance spreadin coz of all of the wrong media coverage... we need to let these ppl know that islam is a religion of peace, not of oppression, nor terrorism... we need to let them know that the muslim woman is educated, goes to work, bla bla bla... just like any other ordinary woman!

I'm sorry for you, what makes Muslim women is not the religion is their husbands, she is now in America with a person that respects her so she is all that she can be, if she were in Afghanistan she couldn't have an education or go out without covering her face, did you hear about acid attacks? and she couldn't talk to a man that is not in the family, she has been lying to you , in their countries they have no rights, second class citizens, take a trip to Iran and see..

I know that not all Muslim women cover their faces etc, etc. But it's hard to look the other way when the entire Middle East has women who have to walk behind their husband and be escorted down the street, wear burkas, and are prosecuted for cheating for speaking to a man in public who is not her husband.

this is because of media; any advertisement, movie or news from middle east shows the women with Hijab. Most movies about middle east shows their weaknesses. few ones in USA knows that Hijab is required by the government of Iran for iranian women and no women is allowed not to wear Hijab but many women don't want it and wants freedom. Note, in Quran, there is no verse about Hijab and Quran did not required women to wear Hijab. Hijab came to middle east 400 hundred years ago from eastern Europe to Iran and Turkey.

There's a really hot Muslim girl I know who works at Pretzel Time in the closest mall to where I live. She doesn't really live up to any of the stereotypes.
