you must be 15 years of age to obtain a work permit. The employer does have to reimburse you for the cost of the permit. You must be 16 years old to operate any type of machinery. These are laws that must be followed.

Major movie theaters like Loew's or AMC require their workers to be 16 years old. Some indie movie theaters might hire 15 year olds, but I doubt it. It's usually 16 or older.

it depends on each individual movie theatre - and the management. the only way to find out is to go in and ask to speak with the manager, then ask the manager. sorry, no easier way to do it, unless its a really big chain and they have a website - maybe it will tell you there. ...maybe. good luck - they are pretty cool places to work at bc you get to see all the new movies, but i hear that they get realllllllly repetitive after about the 5th time you see them.
