It depends...it could be something or nothing. If you are worried about it take yourself down to the ER and have them check you out. Better safe then sorry!

I had a miscarriage about 7 years ago and when the spotting started it didn't stop. It gradually increased into a period. I went to the ER and I was miscarrying. I am now 35 weeeks pregnant and also had some light spotting right at the beginning. I freaked out because I didn't want to go through another miscarriage. I called the Dr. and he told me that it could just be the implantation of the fetus and not to worry. I took it easy that week-end and the spotting only happened once or twice and it wasn't much. If you are not bleeding I wouldn't worry. Just make sure to mention it to your Dr.

I would definately talk with my doctor about it. First of all how do you know that you are pregnant? Did you take home pregnancy test or health dept? Anyhow it is getting more frequent or darker red. I might would go on to the doctor or hospital. It may also be nothing. When I was pregnant with my son, who is 12 years old now, I had my period for the first six months that I was pregnant. It was heavy, not just spotting. Anyhow good luck and hope that all is well when you goto the doctor and congradulations.

at or around 4 weeks pregnant you baby is making himself very comfortable in your womb. This is also about the time you would have been starting your period and so a little brown spotting is actually normal. Brown is a sign of old blood and means that you are not currently bleeding. The doctor would not be concerned one bit with brown spotting during this time frame. Fear not this is not an indicator of miscarriage.
Happy Pregnancy!

I have had the same experience in both of my pregnancies. It is called implantation bleeding and it is completely normal. If you start spotting alot or bleeding constantly or if it changes to bright red then you would need to go to the er. And be sure to tell your doctor about this anyway to be on the safe side. But I think you are just fine! Congrats!!

If you're about 1 month then you've just become pregnant and about this time you would've been having your period. So, it's possible that it's just implantation bleeding that you're experiencing. Since you'll be seeing the doc this wednesday I really wouldn't worry about it unless you're feeling crampy and get more spotting then you've been having and it's actually red. Try and relax and be sure to let your doc know the importance of this to you so you get it resolved and all your questions answered! Good Luck

Probably your hormones fluctuating is causing you to spot. You should make an appointment asap though, so you can get started on prenatal vitamins and get your ultrasound scheduled. Take it easy for your first trimester, don't do anything too strenuous or that you're not used to doing. It's not the time to start weight lifting.

brown discharge is old blood, most of the time your OB will say that's fine. They worry when it's bright red blood.
Just try to relax and take it easy. If you still don't feel comfy with it, go to the hospital to get checked out.
Congratulations and Good Luck

Spotting during the first trimester is totally normal. If you are experiencing a lot of pain, or bright red blood, call your ob/gyn asap! Good luck and congrats!
