My boyfriend and i have been dating almost 1 year in about a month. we love eachother so much but he has had a difficult life and is stubborn at times. Well he always tells me he thinks crying is a weakness if guys cry and that he could not cry over breaking up even when he openly tells me he'd take a bullet for etc... well he said he'd be devasted and miss me and not know what to do but crying is out of the question. My friends think he's just saying that he might think he wouldnt but probably would its just hurtful to hear. any opinions? I have hardly any other complaints he's a great guy very sweet, NICE, and caring. any suggestions?

He won't. Get used to it. Guys rarely cry. And we NEVER cry over a breakup.

People react differently to tough situations such as breaking up with a loved one. Some people cry while others have other ways of dealing with that sense of loss. From what you've written, it seems like your boyfriend cares deeply for you, so there's no need to be concerned over his inability to cry. He's just not one of those emotionally-demonstrative guys and perhaps a little old-fashioned since he thinks guys shouldn't cry. There's nothing wrong with that though.

that is very common, most guys are not going to cry even if you been with even over 30 or 50 years. He cares is just males usually are not as sensitive as girls, so don't think that he does not care because mostly likely he does if you say he is a very sweet guy, so just don't worry

Be happy with your relationship, especially if its a good one. Just because he won't cry over you or in front of you does not mean that he can't show emotions or cares for you any less. My husband doesn't always show his emotions. But there is NO doubt in my mind about his love for me. I've seen him cry once and it broke my heart. To be honest, I hope to never see him cry again. If there are tears, let it be for joy, not because he's hurt.

if he's sweet nice caring ect why even worry about breaking up don't borrow problems if your blessed enough not to have any. I guess that's human nature Enjoy your relationship the here and now. Godbless you!

You shouldn't be focusing on what will or won't happen if you break up. Men don't like to admit that sometimes they cry, just leave it alone.

I think your is just frontin, i mean if he really care bout you and ya'll relationship, the last he should do when ya'll break up is to cry...YES ITS SERIOUSLY WEIRD...there is somthing wrong with him, sooner or later a person has to let his or her feelings out or else they will BREAK DOWN/FALL OUT
