Your baby is still protected by his bag of waters... the amniotic fluid is surrounding his head and so yes it is still safe.
The prostiglandins from your husbands semen is what is supposed to help induce the labor. Truth be told, any form of induction is normally the first step to an unwanted c-section and so I would warn you against trying to encourage your little one out before he is ready. He won't stay in there forever and this time next year you will be saying... OMG he is turning 1! Where did the time go?
Hang in there!

I wouldn't say that the sex is what induces labor but as you have read the sperm contains hormones called prostoglandalins. These hormones are supposed to not really induce labor but thin the cervix.. which will lead to the labor. I did read a study that a woman that reaches orgasm regularly during the last month does not commonly go over her due date. And I don't think that it matters how endowed or blessed your husband is your not going to hurt your baby. My ex-husband swore that during my last trimester of my first son he could feel the baby's head with the tip of his penis I told him not to kid himself, He wsa giving himself too much credit. But if you feel uncomfortable about having sex at this point, don't. YOu won't enjoy it like you should so just stay intimate and walk. I walked, road the riding lawn mower, 4-wheeler, fire truck, had sex, everything I could think of. I even drank a whole bottle of castor oil. I was still 2 weeks late. When the baby is ready it will come no matter how hard you try... trust me! I almost forgot. If you are seriously wanting to induce naturally there is one way that I din't try, but it is time consuming. NIpple Stimulation. By stimulating your nipples by rubbing them at 15 min intervals one then the other. This releases a hormone called oxytocin. It works from what I her but once it starts working the contractions are supposed to begin to get very severe. What info I have on it says to have your bags packed and ready to go, though it could take working on and off at this for two days but eventually it is supposed to work.

A study recently came out that said that sex does not induce labor, at least the presence of semen doesn't. I can see maybe an orgasm might, since the uterus contracts. I was almost a month late with my daughter, we had sex everyday for like two weeks, I tried mowing the lawn, took long walks. I still ended up being induced twice and having a csection.

Mysty is correct. A new study says that sex doesn't induce labor. In fact, it can delay it for a while. Walk as much as you can, that's the best bet. But in the meantime, if you want to have sex, it's totally possible to do it and not harm the baby.
Oh, and I tried castor oil with my daughter...and it didn't work it all...it only made me sit on a toilet for hours.

I think it is your orgasm that helps to induce labor and if your worried about the baby the whole time, I don't think that you will get that far. But I guess it is worth a try. Also, try to walk as much as you can.

Don't think it will harm the baby. What worked best for me was to go on a cleaning spree. It will help induce labour and you will have a sparkling house to come home to with new baby. She will come on her own time. Hoping you will have a healthy, beautiful baby soon. Good luck.

ok right here is what i be conscious of approximately that undertaking... a million. it isn't the unquestionably act that induces hard artwork nor the orgasms, it somewhat is the hormone got here upon contained in the male semen whilst he ejaculates into the female organ that motives the hard artwork to start. 2. whilst i replaced into pregnant it took 2 situations in a 24hr era for me 3. I have not have been given any concept if masturbating could help, it would make you have fake hard artwork.. different issues that human beings have informed me replaced into to do squats, walk around, be upright as much as conceivable; gravity will help the toddler get into place and help set off the hard artwork to start...<-- those are in hassle-free terms what others have informed me, I have not have been given any concept in the event that they're genuine or no longer in spite of the undeniable fact that i did do those and that i went into hard artwork an entire week earlier my due date so... solid success to you... playstation . whilst your in hard artwork and you do no longer dilate sufficient each and every from time to time they're going to stick a pill in you that as quickly because it dissolves helps your cervix to dilate.. in that pill has a similar hormone this is contained in the male semen...

When I was trying to induce labor, that's what my nurse told me. I 'did it' at 10:30pm and at 2:30am I was in labor...so I say YES, it works. :-) ((They say that its b/c there's something in the sperm that induces the labor.)) ALTHOUGH, I am going to post a reference for you that says the opposite, so its really a matter of what you choose to believe...maybe see how many other women here have had the same experience as myself.

there is something in semen, some chemical that helps induce labor. However, I was in NO mood to be having sex at that time. So, I walked and walked and walked and waited and waited and waited. They come out eventually.
