Might be able to get 25 bucks out of it on a garage sale. Old PCs like that do not get a lot of takers.

Just bought pallets full of complete Compaq P4 1.5 Ghz systems,, w/20Gb drives, 256 mb RAM, 17: ;monitors, mice, keyboards, plus plugs, wires, some switches, at ~ $50 each...

Put Linux ( http://PCLinuxOS.com ) with it's 1900 free programs, games on them, for disabled and special needs schools/students!

BUT! that PII 300 mhz system, is GREAT for IPCOP to filter all website content! It can be a wifi, high speed, broadband Router, and Firewall, with the Download of http://ipcop.org

You'll be able to serve up to about 36 computer clients on a network! If you want to filter website content with Dan's Guardian, you really should use a 700 to 800 Mhz unit, ofr 36 clients in a school!

for your two to 10 home systems, that 300 Mhz PII will do fine!
Save yourself about $150 in hardware, software...

You may consider yourself lucky if you own such a special computer. You do not find computers like yours in shops anymore. In 50 years time this may become a valuable collector item worth more than any modern computer.
