I recall what God said to Job in the book of Job (which, consequently, is believed by many scholars to be an ancient Persian parabal that the Hebrews adopted into their canon).

Job was a really nice, very religious guy when all this really bad, nasty stuff started happening to him and his friends surmise that he must have really ticked God off somehow. So Job asks God "why me? what have I done?" God answers "Do you know why the sun sets and rises? Do you know where the deer go in the forest to give birth? Do you know what is at the depths of the ocean?...[and so forth and so on]...NO! You don't know! You know nothing! You are stupid! You don't know anything! So don't question what I do, don't try to understand why I do the things I do, and don't try to understand me, because you can't. Just enjoy my mystery."

God loves His chilren, just like parents love their children. Think about this: a child becomes ill and the doctor says that he must have an operation, or he will die. the sad parents agree to have the operation, though the toddler clings to them, terrified and scared. the child doesn't understand, but his parents KNOW that what they are doing for him is the best thing. they see the big picture. God, compared to us, is way more vast. our minds are puny things, and we cannot see the whole picture. God does. and He also wants us to grow closer to Him...sometimes, when everything is going great, we tend to forget about God, because we don't "need" Him. but as soon as things get bad, we run to Him, and learn through our experiences, growing closer to Him. hope that helps!

You were reincarnated and you brought with you your experiences as well as your Karma. Your salvation will come with #1) the acceptance of your past deeds being met with present repercussions and #2) your comittment to overcome any negative energy trying to influence you in this life.

I remember Terry Fox, who tried to run across Canada to raise money for bone cancer - which he was dying from, was asked do you ever ask Why me God? And he said no, Why shouldn't it be him. We all have our challenges to meet. Best if we met them and don't get distracted.

that's how it is on earth. you're given challenges for whatever reason, and you're expected to not feel victimized. moreover, the consensus is a person is only given what he/she is capable of handling. face up and be courageous. you'll learn alot, become more compassionate through the suffering, and stronger for having learned the lesson. get with it! :-)
