any new star trek tv or movies coming out?

a new series would be cool. how about a 007 type star trek. where they are spy's. gathering info. with cool gadgets.

There's already something like that callded Section 31, the unofficial designation of a rogue and officially nonexistent intelligence and defense organization resembling secret police or a black-ops organization. It's shown in some eps of ST: Enterprise and DS9.

Anyway, yes, there is going to be a new movie, but producer J. J. Abrams has stated repeatedly that "it is infinitely too early to be talking about the plot" of Star Trek XI.

The release date is expected to be in 2008; however, neither an official release date nor a title has been announced.

No idea about a new series, although Enterprise was just starting to get good, not to mention realigned with classic Trek history.

Supposedly the next movie is going to be a Prequal, but based on young Kirk and Spock at the academy. Personally I'd like them to continue with history laid forth by the existing series rather then starting over again with new actors playing the original crew before they stepped foot on the original NCC-1701.

All the elements are still there for TNG, or I've often thought DS9 would make a cool big screen adaptation (the special effects would be excellent - oh to see the wormhole open up and fill the entire screen). Voyager pretty much ended when they got home, but a movie could be made with a subset of the Voyager characters (perhaps Admiral Janeway and Tuvok stationed on DS9, with Sisko and Odo gone).

DS9 kind of touched on a 007 theme with Bashier's holodeck program, Garak's mysterious past, and of course Section 31. Expanding upon that might also be interesting, but I doubt a series would last long on such a premise, perhaps a 3-5 episode mini-series.

Oh, and of course the original Animated series will be coming out on DVD possibly this November!

I'm told that there's a new ST movie underway, although it hasn't even made it to the casting stage yet. It's supposed to deal with Kirk, Spock, and McCoy during their years at Starfleet Academy, while they were in their late teens/early twenties. The USS Enterprise (the one we're familiar with) hasn't even been built yet.

One rumor has it that Kirk meets another young cadet, a woman that he falls in love with (this is an important sub-plot, but not the main focus of the film). During the course of the film, Kirk, Spock and McCoy manage to save the galaxy (again), and in the process they become bonded.

However, the young woman--the greatest love of Kirk's life, before or since--somehow gets killed. And at the end of the film, there is (or might be) a cameo appearance by Bill Shatner...Kirk is visiting the gravesite of that young woman, present-day in the Star Trek universe. He still grieves for her, even after all these years.

A new Star Trek film would be welcome, at least to me, whether it features the original series actors, TNG actors, or even a whole new set of people. Bear in mind: as of this writing, two of the primary actors (DeForest Kelley and James Doohan; respectively, Dr. McCoy and Mr. Scott) from the original series have passed away. And the rest of the original crew aren't getting any younger, either! (William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy are both 75 years old...their birthdates are four days apart, as a matter of fact)

So it seems very unlikely that there would be another "original cast" film.

Yes, there is a new Star Trek movie in preproduction. Rumor has it that it takes place before the original Enterprise's 5 year mission, with Kirk/Spock meeting at Star Fleet Command.

I love Star Trek, all of them, I think a 007 feature show would be kick but. I think you should forward your idea to the creatures, and or write your own script

kind of like superman they took a great story (DOOMSDAY) and dropepd it for a not so good one.
