It all depends... some people think that dreams are simply the brain getting rid of unwanted mental material at the end of the day. Others think that if interpreted correctly it can unlock unconscious thoughts, insights, or emotions. Freud and Jung (the fathers of psy.) spent a lot time analyzing dreams... so who really knows. I am somewhere in between these two planes of thought.

However, if you think your dream means something... try remembering important details and look them up in a dream dictionary. There are many out there... and it seems like you might be looking for an answer to something. Good Luck!

Yes indeed and there are two ways to explain this
1 they´re your subconcious way to work the problems of your day , search for a solution or get over the traumas.
2it is also the way your brain contacts with what is beyond real and can access knowledge that normally your concious mind couldn´t comprehend

it depends on the dream but sometimes yes. they can be a sign of your worst fear, a sign that something significant is about to happen or that you just have to much on your mind.

i had a dream once when i was a kid that one of my cousins was going to die if she and her family went to a place i knew they had plans to go to. it kept repeating it's self over and over but it was the same accident every time. the next morning i told my mom about it and she suggested that i call my aunt and tell her about my concern. so i called her and told her about my dream. she thanked me for telling her and told me that they were not going to be able to go after all. i was very relieved.

Yes, it is your subconscious basically (simplest explanation). Except when you have precognitive dreams, you don't think it has anything to do with your subconscious, however the information can not come to most of us through our conscious mind, thus the dreams.

You dreams are your other voice. Not the one of sounds but of images. They can speak just as clearly if you learn to listen to them.
