I am a adult. I take a bath every night and shave my armpits every other night. What's weird is that nothing works on my right side, yet I have no problems on my left side.
The crystal deodorant is a joke. I have tried mens, womens, and sport formula with very little success. I always try to get a deodorant with the highest concentration of the active ingredient, I am using a baking soda formula now that works about half the day before I have to reapply. I'm worried what I will do when it quits working entirely.
No one has told me I stink yet. However, at night when I change clothes I know my deodorant quit working a while back. I'm self-conscious about this and would appreciate any serious help.

Either
1) You have a medical condition and should see a doctor
or
2) You are suffering from a psychological disorder and think you stink when you really don't.

It's unlikely that anyone you meet casually will tell you that you stink, but you could always ask a close friend or family member if you need confirmation.

Why won't deodorant work for me?

Does your forehead produce odor? If not, I would not recommend applying deodorant to it. I don't think you'll die though haha :)

Well, I don't really have an answer, but I have something to add. I have noticed as I have gotten older that this problem has started developing in me too, it certainly has something to do with being nervous and it's more than just on the outward physical level. This problem has gotten worse for me and I notice that if I don't eat every 2 hours or so, that makes a drastic difference in how much I sweat. Not only this, but if I just walk outside on a moderately warm day 78, after a few minutes my lower back my forehead and my armpits start to sweat, as well as a few other places. I have always been a heavy sweater, but never like this. This is just plain annoying!

You have hyperhydrosis (so do i). I got perscription ( i don't think you need a perscription for it anymore) Drysol. You apply at night and it burns at first but it really does work. (works better than Certain Dry, if you've tried that too). After a while you'll only need to apply it once in a while. I had an extremely bad armpit sweating problem in highschool and now i don't at all..(i only need to apply the drysol maybe once every couple months), but you need to be patient since it could take a month before stopping completely. I've also read that botox injections stop sweating, oresle there's surgery to sever the glands (which just grow back within years anyways). But definatley try out the Drysol (apply to both armpits since one of the side effects are that you may expereince transfer in sweating to other parts of your body, ie hands or back...but i haven't experienced this). Good luck!

There's this medication called Dryel its with perscription only. It's a cream your pharmacist or doctor would tell you how to use it. But it seriously works wonders, I had the same problem but on both arms. It really is worth it.

it may not be the deodarant...it just may be you. harmone smells don't only come from the armpit. see a doctor, discuss what you smell and see if you have a harmone or some other kind of infection.
otherwise, you just may have a very sensitive nose.
also, make sure the deodarant say 'anti-persipirant'...and yes, you may have to put it on more than once in a day.

I have the same problem. I am using the exact same thing you are. No anti persperent deoderant isn't the answer for me. It makes me sweat more than a deoderant that doesn't have anti persperant. I was using oldspice then it quit working, and then i switched to this baking soda one and it works fine. I don't know what i am going to do either so i will be watching this.

I have the same problem and I think that it is the active ingredient that causes this issue. Try the Adidas deodorant with no active ingredient..it works for me. Then if that fails, try Lady Speed Stick.
