Take something that interest you. If you like to cook, and modify recipes then food science would be cool. You could invent some new food one day. You might possible like law classes if you like to argue. Nurses are needed if you like to care for handicapped people. Just take someting you have a interest in.

One goes to college to earn a degree and eventually find a good, high-paying job. If I were you, I'd check out the classified ads and find out what jobs are currently in demand for a college graduate, how much salary, what are the chances of promotion.
Then again, the course that you should take should be within your interests, otherwise you may not finish the course at all.

Ideally you should take up a course that you have an interest in. However, in the practical world, you should also consider whether the course is in demand by the job market. For example, you may face more difficulties getting a job after graduation if you were to do pure maths than if you were to do engineering.
It would be best if your interest coincide with courses that are in demand by the job market. If not, you may want to strike a balance by choosing a course that does not stray too far from your interest. eg if you like maths, you may want to consider doing engineering instead of pure maths.
Another option is to major in a more marketable course and minor in a subject that you are interested in. eg you can major in business studies and minor in philosophy.

Your best bet would be to make an appointment with the college counselor. No one else can tell you what you are best suited for, career wise, without getting to know you. A counselor would be the best qualified person to help you.

take all of your General Ed. Classes so that you get them out of the way...then take classes that you want to take and the ones that go with your major. Remember the more classes you take the more money you spend on them so choose wisely.
