the original 3 doctors who started the business and probably own controlling shares but don't really like each other, or the 5 younger doctors in their late 30's, early 40's who work together to try and change things.

In every organization that I've worked in, the power brokers are the ones who control the money. If you have controlling interest in the enterprise, you have the keys to the kingdom. The young turks may bring vitality and vision, but ultimately they have less say in the business than the founding members of the group.

The younger more progressive doctors probably try to get more done, but I'm betting it's the old crows with the big bucks that hold the final power.
Unfortunately, money talks bullsh*t walks.
