Hi, they told me I need my computer to have the hard drive formated. what is "non dos" partition?

what is a boot disk and fdisk utility? Do I need a special disk to do that or it is any disk?//////

how do you run windows by running i386\winnt.exe

Do I need a professional to do that or can I do it myself not knowing much of that?

thanks.
Why do some people do not consider Norton antivirus as a best choice?

How good is spy ware and spy boot and why does spy boot when I run it to scan it is scanning some websites I have never accesses like casino and other ugly stuff that I have never at all even viewed?

I had to scan my computer several times time after time and it always showed SPD Exploit and then there was an update in my machine and now is no longer showing; does that mean I am no longer at danger or what happened?

thanks a lot.

Whoa! One or two things at a time.

A boot disk is a floppy disk (or sometimes a CD) that you can boot and it has tools on it (like fdisk) to help you do things to your hard drive.

Fdisk will let you add, delete and format partitions on your disk.

Please note that if you delete the partition, all of your files will be gone. If you don't mind losing your old files, I would say that you can do it yourself.

Windows should run by itself, you should not have to run winnt.exe

Norton antivirus is a fine product, but may people have their own preferences, just like Ford vs Chevy.

Casino and pornography sites often appear in a computer after certain spyware infections, it does not mean you are a bad person.

Here are two websites that can help you, the first is bootdisk.com
you can find any boot disk there plus help on how to use it! they also have the fdisk utility there as well. The second site is download.com you need to click on PC starter kit, it will have
the programs and info you need at this point in your computing
