I share your attitude but can offer a liberal-free non-violent solution to the problem.

1. Remove all restrictions on drilling for oil in America (ANWAR, Gulf Coast, etc.

2. By taking care of a much larger chunk of our energy needs, we can take the economics away from the Middle East countries that use oil to blackmail us.

3. Implement the Fair Tax, have a national sales tax, no more income or emlpoyee taxes. Manufacturing will storm back to the US because there is no taxes on labor or income. This would cripple the Chineese who aid Iran.

4. We must use energy more wisely. Do things like requiring Energy Star rated windows (which a large majority of companies already make).

5. Get the government out of tax breaks for this and that. Let the free markets reign.

No, but we need to kick Iran's A$$ for sponsoring terrorism that comes into the United States and kills our family members. We need to kick Iran's A$$ for trying make the world run under Islamic law, and hanging innocent teenage girls.

I'm glad you said "we," because I was going to ask you how you get to work and heat your home. That being said, no, we don't have to kick Iran's *** - we simply have to be more conservative (no pun intended) in our use of the world's oil supply. We need to open up exploration for the short term, and invest in much more R&D for alternatives to our energy needs. (Note: Iran's nuclear ambitions scare me a hell of a lot more than anything they could do to disrupt the world's oil supply.)

We don't have to kick Iran's butt. If we don't Israel will; they have done so before over the same issue. They blew up Iran's nuclear facilities when it grew to threatening proportions.
