It feels like that feeling you get when eating something dry like a lot of fries or bread, and it's stuck in your throat kind of......and there's a burning feeling also like in my lower neck and upper chest. I've also been feeling a little short of breath sometimes???! This is my first pregnancy by the way!!!!!Thanks!!!!!
Also has anyone started showing later than 20wks? I kinda am but just a little poochy, not like a pregnant belly!???

Yes, what you are experiencing is indigestion. I had it all the time when I was pregnant with both my kids. Use Tums to take away the heart burn. They say its a sign that your baby will be born with hair, which both of mine were.I was 6 months before you could really tell that I was pregnant. Usually with your 1st it takes longer to show. Congrats and Good luck with the next three months!!

Yes, indigestion is completely normal! I am 22 weeks and I especially have bad indigestion whenever I lay down. I just keep the tums handy. (but this doesnt always work). Sometimes I just have to sit up in bed for a while. I know it sounds wierd but sometimes water can make it worse....drink some milk. This is my second pregnancy so I started showing ALOT about 6 weeks ago. You should definitely be showing a good belly by now even if it is your first.

yes. that's very normal. I had that feelings since i was 14 weeks or so. check this for an answer to ur question: http://experts.about.com/q/ObGyn-Pregnancy-issues-1007/Heart-burn.htm
About showing, it's very common for a first pregnancy to not to show. The uterus muscles are still strong and it needs time to stretch them. here is an answer from a practitioner:

another reason (but no very common) which could explain why u,r not showing is when u have a retroverted uterus.. this is not dangerous but u can check more with ur OBGyn. u'll have ur ultraspound soon anyways but since ur OB wasn't worried (which i assumed from ur question) then no need to worry.
good luck

I had heartburn in both of my pregnancies. Use some tums to see if that helps, if not check with the OB about a list of safe meds they recommend for it, I believe Pepcid is ok, but check with your doctor about it for sure. I have my list of meds around here somewhere from the OB. Whatever you do, don't take Pepto-Bismol, it has aspirin in it.

it does sound like simple indigestion! tums are good... they even have calcium. i would mention to your doctor at your next visit, however, that you are experiencing this. it gets worse as the baby continues to grow!
