My best friend is a therapist and she deals with women's issues. She has been doing this for many years and although she does not make much money doing it she finds it extremely rewarding. She has had so many of her former clients contact her and thank her and tell her how much better their life is because of the "help" they received from her.
Think about it...a person comes to you and has a problem. Over months of listening, offering compassion and empathy (not sympathy - big difference) and validating that persons feelings, together you help that person to resolve their issue(s). That person is changed. Their positive behaviors affect the people around them and it causes a ripple effect. Perhaps their children are positively impacted, their loved ones, etc. To be a part of that process is so incredible! Think about the positive impact you can have on so many lives! It's not about the money, so forget about that because there are not that many therapists who become wealthy. If you are in it because your heart tells you to then do it. To me it's up there with teachers because it's a form of education only in a different way. And just look at what education can do for a person!
There are so many areas you can work in. Do you want to work with kids, adults, men, women, couples, homosexuals, incest survivors, alcohol/drug addictions, anger management, depression, schizophrenia, disabilities, groups, individuals? Do you want to have a private practice, work in the school system, jails, juvenile homes, mental health clinics? There are many choices and it's just a matter of what your preferences are.
Best to you!

definite, they might do the interest, however the scientific field has particular standards for each interest so as that each and every individual has information of their field. If docs and nurses dealt with each and every thing, they could have too lots to undergo in strategies, and could make greater errors. i don't be conscious of the place you're, yet in Tennessee, the call for for respiration therapists is quite intense because of the quantity of those that smoke, have persistent hypersensitive reactions, and the toddler babies that are born with respiration problems. basically verify with the human ingredients branch at your section hospitals. once you're prepared to relocate, i'm able to get you some numbers for some hospitals around right here that would positions open.

Being a therapist involves the skill of sitting there being very bored but appearing to be interested. Oh, and acting like you somehow received the "book of life" and can tell others what they should/shouldn't do in their own lives.
So basically, being a good friend and getting paid for it.
