Ok ... half the people who answered this question are wrong. The correct answer is

x= all real numbers.
This is because the x's cancel out of the equation leaving 3=3

X = 1 (X = 0 as well)

Check it out: (solved using X = 1)

-6 (1) + 3 - 2 (1) = 3 - 8 (1)

-6 + 3 - 2 = 3 - 8

-5 = 3 - 8

-5 = -5

As far as im concerned its ANY Real number because..

-6x + 3 - 2x = 3 - 8x

Then you add 6x to both sides.. leaving the equation

3-2X=3-2X

X can then be anything. Its always going to be equal.

-8x +3 = -8x +3
-8x = -8x

so x can be any number.
