I clicked into a link and then my antivirus hog come on and said I had a virus. The virus is still locked up. So what do I do with it?

I clicked on a link from yahoo's answers page..It was not porn....I am not a dork..

Shut down your computer immediately. When you restart, run your anti-virus program. If you do not have an anti-virus program, install one before restarting! Most anti-virus programs will load, install and search to rid your computer of viruses before restarting.

delete the virus, the antivirus should have it in quarenteen. Update the AV program then reboot to safemode, (tap the F8 key at POST and select Safemode wiht networking. and run the antivirus program

First, say a prayer - then
Restart while holding down F8.
You will get a choice for Safe Mode.
Select it.
Run your antivirus program.
Restart

get a good antivirus program and use it.
download.com has a few.
I use AVG Free Edition.
