YES!! This is why you are "attracted" to older men. Probably not because you really love them but because you are seeking from them what you did not get from your father. This is not healthy. You need a man you relate to and love as a life long partner NOT a father. You need some counseling to help you deal with this and make healthier choices where men are invoved. Good Luck and Be Careful!!

I dont know if thats what it means, I also dont have a complete relationship with my father. Its not because he doesnt love me its because since I was little he was always gone, traveling because of his job.
When I became a teenager I rebeled alot, and it was ALL because I hoped that if I was really bad my father would return and be in my life. But in turn it just hurt him and my mom. Now i'm about to turn sixteen and I'm attracted to older men. I always have been, ever since I started liking boys. When I was thirteen I had my first boyfriend and he was seventeen, and its been that way ever since. I've gone out with the oldest of guys and I dont regret it at all. But it is very strange to my friends. So I dont know if thats the reason. But I do know that if my father trys to hug me I feel weird and I brush it off. :(
Im very confused, I want him to be in my life and show that he loves me but when he does I'm like "Yuck".
Anyway I wish you luck and hope things get better between you and your father.

Absolutely. The kind of relationship a girl has with her daddy affects her outlook on men. While you crave more attention because you had a father who didn't give you any, I stay away from men almost completely because I had a father that was completely, ummmm troubled I guess would describe him.

More than likely, you are dating older men to try to recapture the father you wish you had.

yes, you answered your question, but beware this is not the way to be satisfied...
you seem quite mature... it's not that if you don't get love from your father your life is ruined, there are thousands of people living on this earth orphan without problems...
don't be dependant on anyone's emotional support...
support yourself, and get out of the relationship which is unattainable....

Probably so, try talking to your dad and tell him how you feel, he might understand, and change you never know.
