I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there.
Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.
Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.
There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://tinyurl.im/aH3NV
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Well there are a couple of ways that I know of for example if you want to find out if say www.theincomeproducers.com is taken you can simply type it in your address bar and see if it comes up with a web site or another thing you can do is to go to a domain seller like namecheap.com and do a search to find out if the name you want is already taken or not

This info. should not be used as a substitute for legal advice.
I agree with the person who suggested that you review your state's website. Many states have real-time Corporate and LLC searches where you can do a preliminary search of a particular name's availability. You may also be able to reserve a name (for a fee) by completing that state's applicable form. You may also note that the name must be "distinguishable" from other name's in that state's database.

The 2 names are very similar. People might get them mixed up. I think Pathways is a good name for your business.
