From my experience go with Verizon or T-Mobile. Both have excellent coverage and by coverage I mean quality coverage not like 1 bar where you hear every other word the other person is saying. T-Mobile's coverage is less than Verizon's, but if you never go to anywhere where the cows outnumber people you won't need to worry about it anyway. And, T-Mobile's plans are the cheapest of anyones while Verizon's are just about the most expensive.

If you live in the Bay Area, you should consider METRO PCS.... for $ 54.74 a month, I have unlimited incoming and outgoing calling. Unlimited local and international text messaging.
The best thing is you never have to wait for the weekends or after 9 p.m. to speak. In addition, this service is month on month (no contract).
The flip side is sometimes your calls mite drop, but unless you are such an important person, then u shudnt bother about it.

That is a hoax being advertised by Alltel.
Although you can add up to 10 people on your plan...
true Alltel won't charge you for the calls you make.
However the friends you added to your plan....
well that doesn't mean their carrier honors that hoax.
Your friends will still be charged for their wireless minutes.
Oh yea... and the biggest hoax (they don't tell you on TV but you can only add 10 phone numbers)
Get on Verizon Wireless. Almost everyone I know has them... we don't need 10+ friend promotional hoax. WE all talk for free.
Any time!

The commercial is by Alltel, but I would not recommend them. Their service isn't the best. I have Cingular and have been very happy with them.
