Seems like kindergarten teaches you how to make websites, nowadays. Do you think it would be of any benifit to really learn how to create websites?

It would be a benefit if you want to learn it just for the purpose of self-enrichment.

Just as beneficial as learning anything really.

But as far as the actual usefulness of learning website authoring goes, that depends on you and your situation. If you work at burger king then I doubt that you are going to need this skill for work. If you work for Yahoo then it might help ;)

A person does not need to know everything to stay current. And after awhile you will learn that it is not so important to try to stay current anyways. There are more important things.. You'll figure that out when you're older though. =)

Well if you have Microsoft frontpage software installed then creating a simple website is almost like writing a word document. However if you want all the bells and whistles email, flash, dynamic content, database, chat, forums, etc. then you will probably need professional web designing help. It is one of the hottest career options and the sector is booming with tons of freelance jobs.

I won't say u r behind the times, a lot of people dont know such stuff :)

Microsoft (free domain and hosting for life) ,
Google (Googlepages, Blogger) ,
Yahoo (Geocities),
Freewebs are some of the companies offering free websites with design tools .

I have three... one for my woodsite, one for genelogy, and one for my resume, that one I don't need anymore I found a job. It is simple, with most of the free webpage host around. I use Bravenet.

No,you'll probably find most people dont know how to either,they're not important really unless you have something to sell.
