I've tried to find out but can't.
I just want to know how to watch tv on my flat panel monitor that has a computer hook up. Is there some kind of splitter or something that I have to buy in order for a line out AV from my TV to fit into my monitor input?
Please Help!

Also, vice versa for PC display on TV.
What about that?

What I need is a cord that somehow transforms the cord coming from my monitor to an AV.

Forget it! You people are useless!
You just didn't understand what I want.
But I don't know how I could be more precise.
I found a cord on e-bay that has a printer-type connector on one end and AV & S video on the other. That's what I was talking about. I costs $2! Not over $100 like these TV tuners.
I already have a TV. I just wanted to be able to watch on my monitor.
Very simple, but apparently not for you guys.

Do you have any further info on your PC? Check to see if your video card doubles as a tv tuner. Some high end computers come with this option.

If your PC doesn't have this tv tuner, I'd check to see if your LCD monitor is also a LCD tv (meaning the tv tuner is in the monitor).

If neither your computer has neither of theses upgrades, you will need to buy a tv tuner card for your pc.

You'll want to make sure you have an open PCI slot on your motherboard to accomodate the upgrade card. They also are availble in a USB format if you don't have the open PCI slot.

I would suggest a tv tuner which doubles as a DVR or PVR. That would basically allow your computer to function as a TIVO unit. You could record programs, time shift and all that fun stuff.

You should be able to find this card for 50-150 dollars, depending on what kind of options the card has and if it comes with a remote control.

The tv tuner card is available with a S-video output. You will need an s-video cable long enough to reach your tv to get computer output on your tv.
