I used to get that same pain in my heel when I would run during football practice. I received the same answer from a doctor. Before I had my next practice I put those sole inserts, just the ones that go where the heel is and not the rest of the foot, form Dr. Scholls, and all of my problems disappeared. Try that, because it just might work. Good Luck

My doctor told me that if you don't stretch properly before doing any exercise and heels included, you can end up with pain. I go to the gym 4 times a week and I had pain in my heel and he showed me the proper way to stretch my legs, feet prior to doing any exercise.

I'm not a Doctor, but I am an avid Runner. It sounds like heal spurs or maybe tendionitious (Spelling??). You cannot tape it. It would be best just to take it easy on them.

It's probably just a bruised heel. It's pretty common in athletes.
