Wow never thought of that. The size of bills should at least change then.It would cost a lot of money to put the braille on it.......but I guess it could be used as another security feature.Probably hard to counterfeit.

I work with some people that are blind, and they can tell you exactly the amount of money they are holding by the feel. It amazes me, but I guess all ofthe bills feel different. I know the coins are different on purpose (dimes and pennies are close in size, but dimes have ridges, pennies don't; same with quarters and nickels), but paper money has subtle differences as well. How do I know? Ask a person that is blind, and has been for a very long time. They will be able to better tell you than I.
What I would do is check out your city/county health and human services. They usually have classes for people that are newly blind, and how to work with the world in their new condition. I would then get your uncle into some of those classes. Usually they are very minimal fees or free.
Good luck!

Sorry, that's a crazy idea. That would be a huge cost to help such a small % of the population. Next, people will want cars to flash lights when the car horn is beeped so deaf people can "hear" it.

thats a great question. I would think that it might have to do with bills getting worn out. Bills get crinkled, bent, and otehrwise worn, and might make it hard to accurately read the braile if it was on them

Canadian paper money has braille, which is pretty smart. It should be adopted everywhere.
