I believe there is a way to do it however I'm not positive. If your phone has bluetooth you can pair it with your laptop and then select an option while setting it up that says use phone as modem. However cingular also offers an Internet plan that allows your phone to have Internet and then you can connect your computer to your phone. I'm not sure of cingulars speeds however sprint has an evdo network that has speeds faster than dial-up.

From my experience with using cell phones as a modem I believe only motorola phones are capable of such a task. To be sure though, go to a Cingular store and ask a sales rep/tech or just call their customer service and ask tech support

Depends on what phone..

Well Since you said you have a samsung phone.. I don't know about em..

Well I have tried using my Sony Ericsson P910i as a modem for my PC.. In it worked well..

Well I had to add the unlimited internet on my Cingular account in order to use it..

Your PC burns more KB so atleast you need unlimited or alot of KB usage on your phone.
