How can I sing like Robert Smith(from the Cure)?

I cant stand it!
How does he do it?!
What is it in his voice that makes me feel so much release?
Do you think the effect his voice has is from him just letting go & feeling the song or is it something else?

Well, it'll be hard for you to sing like him, but you could look like him with a little dark lipstick applied in a closet and lots of dark eyeshadow. Don't forget the bed hair. Happy curing.
