i've been learning acoustic guitar for about 2 weeks and been going to lessons bt i wanna learn on my own aswell and try learn some decent easy songs .. n e sugestions of songs .. ty

go to a website called guitarnoise.com. There you will find a page called easy songs for beginners, with not only tab for some popular easy to play songs, but very detailed instructions as well. You will find that this will help you much more than just looking at tab. these lessons are not just about simply strumming the chords. They give lots of detail about how to make the song sound unique, and recognizeable

i will help you out bigtime here. You should learn john cougar mellencamp jack and diane. that one is easy. Also ther eis a program out there called power tab. You download it as well as several hundreds of power tabs available on the internet at various sites. All free. Its good because unlike most other tab sites, it includes the rythm with the tab so you can count it out to make sure your playing it right .
go to www.power-tab.net to get the editor for free and look for power tabs at that site as well as on search engines. If you become the new bon jovi then i require a back stage pass.

some easy rock songs:
sum 41- "Fat Lip" "Hell Song"
Blink- "d_ammit" lots of others
Green Day- almost any song, and american idiot sux
Pink Floyd- "Wish you were here" actually its not that easy
If you are playing chord and riffs then the ramones have very easy songs, otherwise just play intros
