The best new anime/manga besides Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, and Cardcaptor Sakura (and all her spinoffs) is far and away Ouran High School Host Club. I can't get enough of it, and I laugh out loud every time. It is written by Bisco Hatori, and there are (or will be) 26 anime episodes. You can find the manga on Amazon.com, or at Borders. Lunar Anime is doing subtitles to the anime, and they are available online to download, or on You Tube if you do a search. As of now, only 17 of the episodes are subbed in English, but it's a good start.

Manga- Naruto is great because it is much more in depth than the anime. Fruits Basket is also good because many of the characters show human emotions and their body types are real.
Anime- Fullmetal Alchemist is my favorite because the characters are engaging while not being preachy or cliche.

Anime: Bleach, Naruto (tho it's nothing compared to the manga & the fillers they make sux compared to Bleach's), Fma (fullmetal alchemist), & Inuyasha

To me, I like Shaman King manga. I like Hunter X Hunter, Naruto and Fruits Basket.

I've recently bought a manga... it's called 'Absolute Boyfriend' by Yuu Watase... It's great and awesome... though I've checked in the net that 2 volumes are only available right now... But I'm hoping Viz publishes more volumes of it and real fast...
BTW, if you don't know Yuu Watase... she's the one who created Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, and more... She's really a one heck of a writer and manga artist... Her works are great and fantastic... So, you shouldn't miss her compositions....ja! ^__^

I love InuYasha!! It's the best. And Ranma which is funny, Tsubasa, Fruits Basket, and Naruto.
