I did a currency conversion from euros to U.S dollars, and 22,000 U.S dollars does not seem like much. Maybe it is cheaper to live in Spain?

hell no that is not enuff honey ... I travel to Europe at least 3 months out of the year and let me tell you , the Euro is even more expensive than the dollar and it will keep on rising probably due to the trade deficit .

People just assume it is cheaper to live in europe but trust me , it isnt , I mean yeah rent might be a little cheaper in spain if you happen to live in southern cali , but other than that ... forget it ...

18 K euros is nothing .... well you should also ask if that is the salary before or after taxes (brutto or netto) because in most european countries they take way more out of your monthly check .

they have way more deductions than in the Us so you might also want to check on that ....

another thing to consider is where is spain are you going to be living ? barcelona , madrid , ibiza, mallorca or just some beach village down south ?

Good luck to you :)

Maybe for a Pharmacy Tech, but not a full-fledged Pharmacist. In a big city like Madrid or Barcelona, that salary would BARELY pay the bills!

Spain isn't that cheap. Taxes and fuel costs are high. Don't pharmacists in the US make 50-100k/year?
