how cheap, how good??? They have come down in price drastically with rebates at retail places like Circuit City, Best Buy and CompUSA to around or under $500 for brand new and fast. If you are thinking more in the line of $100-300 laptop, check Ebay or OnSale or Ubid.

Try dell.com as others have said. I have always had good luck out of dells and they are inexpensive compared to others.

Also you can do a google search for "dell coupons" and you will find a few sites with coupons you can use (just add the computer you want to a cart, then apply the coupon). But do watch out because some are just for inspirons or xps, just make sure you find the right ones for what you want. There are tons of coupons out there. Dell even has a promotion going on now where you can win a new laptop, and when you sign up to do it and you don't win, you will get a coupon.

Even if you don't decide to go with dell, if you are looking to save money you can look for all kinds of coupons online that might help you get a better deal. I do this all the time!

I would check IBM, HP or Dell sites for referb machines. You get a company backed warranty and a price that's cheaper than comparable new. Or try http://www.newegg.com/ where you can compare many brands of new laptops.

Get a Toshiba, they are well made, reliable and their tech support is awesome. You can find them at stores that have a good return policy, like Staples, Costco, Wal-mart.

Look before you buy.
