Carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring gas in the atmosphere.
Carbon dioxide is also by product of respiration. All living things respire, including plants.
It is also produced when fuel is converted into energy via complete combustion. This occurs when we use our cars, in generating electricity, gases used for domestic purposes such as cooking and heating water, as well as in various industries.
These are various ways that carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.
During photosynthesis, the plant then absorbs carbon dioxide, in the presence of light and water, through small holes in its leaves called stomata.
Well I hope this is what you were looking for.

Animals (mammals) like humans, whales, dogs, cats etc. Supply it. By exhaling Carbon Dioxide. The whole cycle is named Photorespiration. C6H12O6 + 6O2 = 6CO2 + 6H2O(Here's the side of the equation showing where mammals breathe out Carbon Dioxide and give out water).
