Well in Austin, Texas I think Joy East has the best chinese buffet, and then Buffet Palace, and then China Star. In mexican food, I liked Panchos, but they closed them down. For general foods Golden Coral.

I have to say the Golden Corral is really nice in South Carolina. And I also like Fire Mountain which is in Grand Rapids, MI. They have really nice buffets. It depends on which Chinese restaurant you go to if they have a good buffet or not.
There is also Ryans, which you can still find in Michigan and they have really great food too.

when i was still in the states i used to hit up Old Country Buffet like 2X a week..and Ponderosa sometimes...think those are the best. and theres always those chinese buffets...too many to name but all of em are good. never had bad chinese...

Any type of asian food. Mongolian Buffet near Detroit is the best place ever!
