Can someone translate this Swedish word for me please.... vidhålla .... what does it mean. Could'nt find it in the internet.

You sure it's not Valhalla? That's warrior's heaven.

Near as I can come up with is widely-held, but that's just speculation.

you got me searching. Means "hold to"

I searched the internet, both Yahoo & Google: This is what I found.
On a Viala (Sweedish Town) a young girl named Jenny did a project for her school on her town.{Viala} The English translation is as follows:
The town of Viala was the home of the old vikings who named it that after the word "Vidhalla" which refers to a big flat rock that was placed on the top of the mountain of Viala town. The rock was once removed in the 19th century 4 construction of the railroad. Thet big flat rock "Vidhalla" was put back after the completion of railroad & the town just called itself Viala from then on.
