If you practice hard enough and have the right amount of determination, then I would also think you are a future NBA player, not future NBA star. However, if you don't do either or neither one of those two things, then YOU WILL NEVER be a NBA player, much less not a NBA star.

If You will try and work hard at it with all your heart you can make it as a player. And if you already have magic skills and still work at it you may just become a NBA Star!

I'm sure the chance you have of making it is less than winning the lottery but more than drowning in your own bathtub. (You have a better chance of slipping on the soap and dying than winning the lottery.)
