Sure, the technology is great, the best I have ever seen on a game system. But lets take a look at what is being provided aside from graphics..... hold on I am still trying to find it.... well there are some original titles for the system, like Final Fantasy. But now the original titles for the system are now spreading to other platforms. Now the other thing is that it is very, very hard to tell the difference between graphics on the next gen systems (based on screen shots and movie previews). So what else is left. Oh yeah, they stole Nintendo's ideas. (gyroscopes and down-loadable games for the PSP). I would say no, but it is not out yet, so to be fair to Sony's I will have to give them the benefit of the doubt until I get my hands on it.

Well when the X Box 360 game out it cost like $649 for the better version where I live and I wouldn't pay that much money for and xbox system but a PS3 i would pay $500 because they have a lot better quality games and console! I think 500 would be a reasonable price for the best gaming system of today!!

If you want the best system you will have to pay for it, all others who can't get their mom and dad to pony up the 599 plus tax will have to settle for the weak game console known as the Wii. It cost Sony 1000 bucks to make each ps3 it puts out, so paying 599 for it is not so bad. All the people who say the Wii is the best system just don't have that kind of cash to drop on a system, so they get all upset and cry about it. Quality cost money my friends. Now to be honest i wish it was a little bit cheaper, but it's not going to stop me from getting it.

Well the PS3 did cost over $1000 to make so realy thats a good price. $500 against $1,000 is pretty good you have to admit. It is a bit pricey but I'll buy it anyways because I am a faithful Sony girl.

theres still a lotta life left in the PS2. ill wait this one out till the price goes down. im so backlogged with RPG's, i could play those for another year or 2 to get caught up and by that time, ill be able to buy a PS3 on ebay for half what its goin new... the smart ones will wait....

Well, it DOES have some pretty good technology and eight players can play on it, I think, but I wouldn't get it because I have an Xbox 360 already.

It's quite High, but not as high as it could be. It's expensive, but if they made it 700 dollars we wouldn't be able to say anything. I believe It's as inexpensive as it could be, But then again, I'm a Sony fan. My straight answer would be "No"

No I think the price is fair for the technology your getting, but I don't think I'll be getting one myself.
