1. I highly suggest you rent this movie. It comes with two discs. Ian Holm played Jack (i.e. Sir William Gull).

2. Disc One is the hollywood version of the story in movie form.

3. Disc Two is actually more like a police documentary that is far more interesting than the movie. The evidence they present rests you with the conclusion that Jack The Ripper left England and went to the USA.

4. In the movie, the secret society was the FreeMasons. The second disc will illustrate clearly why the premise in the movie was not plausible.

5. I wasn't that impressed with the movie. If Inspector Frederick Abberline knew that grapes were used as a lure for the prostitutes, why didn't he warn the women not to take any johns bearing grapes?

yes the portray the doctor as jack the ripper even though they never new in real life who the jack the ripper was and the secrete society was the free masons
