The violence in that area of the world started so long ago, I don't think anyone knows the real reason for the violence. I think the hatred is so deep, they just pick any reason that sounds good to start fighting.

What maximum human beings do not understand is that the conflict replaced into not born over the previous 4 weeks, yet is going back to 3 years till now. Israel nonetheless occupies aspects of Lebanon, the Shaba' farms(The UN says that's Syrians, yet the two the Syrians and Lebanese say that's Lebanese) additionally in the process the Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon, it abducted civilians and placed them in Israeli prisons(they're nonetheless there now). Hezbollah abducted 2 squaddies to apply them for a prisoner substitute. Israel did not like this and loosed it rather is armed forces on Lebanon, not in basic terms the aspects the place Hezbollah is. of direction, in case you look at issues the way they're depicted interior the U. S. media, the story is going like this. Israel replaced into minding it rather is very own employer and not in any respect harmed anybody whilst Hezbollah crossed the border killed some squaddies and abducted others. This of direction could be stripping issues out of their context. FYI, Hezbollah did some thing very comparable some years in the past and replaced into able to guard of it rather is prisoners in Israeli prisons.

Hezbollah captured Israeli soldiers, and while Israel usually trades hundred of prisoners for even a few Isreali soldiers, Israel's leader decided to take a stand against Hezbollah. For years Hezbollah had been firing rockets across the border and into innocent Isreali homes, but now Israel is fighting back and defending herself.
Hezbollah was created when there was an Israeli occupation in Southern Lebanon to prevent the firing of rockets. Because the Lebanese army is so weak, a militia was created instead (Hezbollah) to drive the Isreali army back. It has been over 6 years since Israel has left Lebanon, and the Lebanese army hasn't disarmed Hezbollah despite a UN order for them to do so. Hezbollah knew that it was losing it's hold over the Lebanese, though, so they captured the Isreali soldiers to provoke Israel, to still preserve what reason they have for existence. Retaliation is what they asked for, and its what they got.
Israel is simply doing what must be done to protect herself.
If the Arab countries laid down their weapons , there would be no more violence. If Israel laid down her weapons there would be no more Israel.

After the invasion of Lebanon in the 80's Hezbollah formed as a resistance to the Israeli occupation, and that is what they are doing right now. Hezbollah has killed way more soldiers than civillians while Israel has killed mostly civilians, 10% are militants that are killed.

Well Hezbollah finally built up a sizeable arsenal and felt like they could go toe to toe with the IDF. So they nab two IDF soldiers and start lobbing rockets into Isreal. And like all Arab terrorists, they then think they negotiate the release of prisoners. Of course this has never been successful, but they just keep trying....
So Israel...says enough and just starts waxing their butts and anyone else who happens to be in the way. Our mothers always warned us about the company keep. Lebanon has some bad friends.
A ceasefire sounds good, but it's not. It's like stopping your chemo just as the tumor starts to shrink. Israel needs to finish the job and wipe Hezbollah out. Otherwise, they just resupply and start it all over again.

Hezbollah targets civilians on purpose, because it has the greatest shock value. Hezbollah is somewhat similar to the American KKK group. They are both racist organizations bent on chaos and distruction. But unlike the KKK, hezbollah has gained the respect of muslims around them. When good muslims do nothing to stop this type of fascism, evil gains ground and is emboldened. They were emboldened enough to cross into Israel, using a rocket attack on a Hummer (killing 3), in order to kidnap 2 others.

Hezbollah has fired rockets on Israel for 6 years now. Israel simply had enough. Now Hezbollah plays the victims card for the UN.

Hizballah formed to fight Israel in 1982. They control Southern Lebanon and are backed by Iran. They are a radical muslim group sworn to the destruction of Israel. They do perform social services as well and have elected leaders in the Lebanese government. This current situation began when they took they crossed over an internationally determined border and killed some Israeli soldiers. Two soldiers were taken captive. Israel demanded the soldiers return, Hizballah refused with their own set of demands and war broke out. Israel is an ally of the US and is one of the better functioning democracies in the region. The Israeli air strikes are targeting locations of rocket launchers and weapons that are hidden by Hizballah. Since Hizballah's fighters cannot win a head to head fight with the IDF (Israel Defense Force) they fight an assymetric type of war. They launch unguided rockets toward civilian areas with the specific intent on harming civilians. Israels bombs hit civilian targets since Hizballah fighters hide amongst civilian areas.

It's essentially religion based, but land is involved too. Hezbollah is a militant group whose purpose is to wipe out the Israelis. There was a call for a cease fire, and the Israelis agreed, but Hezbollah continued to strike, so it all started again. I don't know if Israel can back down at this point.

This question has been asked numerous times lately. The strife between the Jews and the Arabs started during the life of Abraham ( Book of Genesis in the Bible). Both claim the inheritance of God's blessing through Abraham's sons. Ishmael and Isaac. The blessing is handed down to the first born son. Read the story and you will understand what the rub is between them. Both the Jews and the Arabs recognize Abraham as the father of their respective lineage and both claim the promise.
