your right....he was'nt doing anything..........WASHINGTON - While the British terror suspects were hatching their plot, the Bush administration was quietly seeking permission to divert $6 million that was supposed to be spent this year developing new homeland explosives detection technology. Congressional leaders rejected the idea, the latest in a series of steps by the Homeland Security Department that has left lawmakers and some of the department's own experts questioning the commitment to create better anti-terror technologies

I've heard several times conservatives say that "Bush's policies" helped catch the terrorists...

but never facts to back them up... the facts that I have seen say Pakistani and British police foiled the plot...

perhaps that's what they were talking about?

Yeah like he's worried about the next election too , what's the point?Yuo would think they would be grateful but that's just wishful thinking. They would rather whine over spilt shampoo.
By the way if you can't afford the extra 5$ you shouldn't be flying.

You are correct. Scotland Yard solved this caper, whatever it turns out to be.
Dubya just initiated another panic response, like the queen of a kicked-over ant hill. Now mothers have to dump out baby bottles and passengers can't bring sealed bottles of Evian or juice onto a plane.
Personally, I am purely sick of being treated like a "potential terrorist" every time I want to take public transportation.
