What would be a good career for me? There are to many choices. Here are my interests & my personality:

I'm a laid back southern girl who likes to cook, ride horses, and of course eat pie while listening to the Allman Brothers Band. Then I'm the girl that loves poetry, art, books of anykind (history books, autobiographies, novels, short stories....), classic rock (the Stones, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, The Who...), has traveled through out Europe and am living there for a year next summer with a friend. I not only like to look at other peoples poetry and art, but I create my own and am in the process of writing my first book. I also want to have a family someday. Ok, do you see the problem? I want a huge exciting life (and so far have had one sense I tend to live by the moment) but I also want a laid back one....another thing is that I'm also very interested in philosophy and the religions of the world and think I would like a job concerning those two subjects, but I just don't know. Any ideas? If you want to know more about me or my interests to help better answer my question just ask!

Take a few classes in each subject at a community college (since they are cheaper) to see if you actually like it. I actually went to University of Idaho my first year. I was going to be a history teacher, didn't like that class then a technology major, didn't like that, then nutrition sorta like it but it made me really self consious, so I switched to recreation and loved it. But I was tired of school by then so I took a semester off looking at oportunities in the recreation feild. I stumbled on Meetings and Events management that has so many opportunities and I've been with the major for over a year and love it. I got to The University of Nevada in Las Vegas now.

I could see you as a writer of some sort. I think you would enjoy writing about your experiences and beliefs. This profession would leave you open to a lot of sidelines. Travel, meeting new and interesting people. This profession would definitely give a lot of excitement in your life. You already have a head start by writing a book. I think you already know what you want to do. You just need a push in the right direction. Good luck.

Finances might help steer you in a realistic direction.
Whatever you don't make a career of can be your full time hobbies.

Art doesn't often pay well, nor does sociology and/or theology.

If you have a good ability to articulate your feelings, why not be a journalist and a substitute teacher?

i think youve said enough about yourself. you have a good taste in music. the problem with being artistic is its hard to find someone else that can accept you. jealousy is a problem. its hard to relate to someone with totally different tastes. if you can find a job that pays money in those 2 subjects that you mentioned, let me know.

You should work as a teacher, as the president, on a ranch, or at a youth camp.
