i too am a bronco fan and was very impressed with cutlers performance on friday. i think that because plummer really pulled through alot of good games last season that he will be kept in the top spot for now. unless he goes back to his old ways of throwing interception after interception, cutler will have to settle for no. 2. he definetly will be great one day and i hope he will still be with denver when that day comes but for now he is just a kid ( he looks like he is 15!) and he need to get a little more nfl experience. his potential is much better than plummer's is/ever was/ever will be.
ps i would so not want to be van pelt! first he gets demoted then embarrasses himself on the field like that!

Cutler was 16-of-22 for 192 yards and a touchdown in Denver's exhibition opener Friday against Detroit.
: Those are pretty strong numbers for the rookie, but both Cutler and coach Mike Shanahan say they're not putting too much stock into it, simply because neither team was showing much from their playbooks. Plummer is still the man in Denver. The only way Cutler plays this season is if Plummer gets injured.

Plummer will last the season if he doesn't perform well. Cutler is good but young and too much of a chance for the Broncs to throw him to the wolves. Denver has a great fan base and they will endure the year if Jake doesn't win. Everyone in Denver seems to always be so critical of Jake Plummer... why is that?

I believe that Cutler was the best quaterback coming out of college and will eventually be the starter for the Broncos. When he does watch out!

Yeah, i imagine that the Jets will bypass after Cutler the most. they have a good crew, yet no QB. they could provide a good 1st round drarf p.c.. for him, as well as yet another p.c.. leter contained in the draft. they are going to likely draft Mark Sanchez.

I'd Say when Plummer retires/injures, or when he starts losing it.
