Dawn of the dead European Cut?

Has anyone seen Dario Argentos European Cut for George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead. If you have, did you like it? What was the difference from the theatrical release? Is it more bloody and gory?

Argento's version is kind of a hack job of the original. They did away with most of the characterization, leaving only the action sequences, for the most part. The soundtrack was replaced with music from someone named Goblin, from what I understand. There is no new footage, it's only a different edit of the original movie.
