I know most of them eat flies and I bet insects also. If you go to a pet store or some type of store you should look for frog food, then feed you frog the frog food. I bet the frogs you get from the lake it frog food.

WHAT THEY EAT : Frogs principally eat insects, worms, spiders, and centipedes. Aquatic frogs sometimes eat other frogs, tadpoles, and small fish. Larger frogs eat objects as large as mice or small snakes. Tadpoles mostly feed on algae and other vegetation, although a few are carnivorous and may even feed on their siblings!

It eats what it can find where you abducted it from. Take it back and buy one at the pet store. And don't bring anymore animals home from their natural habitats. How do you know your turtle is happy and healthy? Have you had it overwinter in your house yet?
If you haven't, good luck.
I know this is not what you wanted to hear.

I got mine from a pet store, so it probably would be wise to ask them, but mostly they eat insects, roaches, flies, things like that and make sure you have a place where he/she can swim and drink water otherwise he/she will get dehydrated. Hope this helps you.
