Take 'em both. Put the 45 spf on hour before exposure. Put the 38 spf on every hour and 1/2.
Cheaper that way.

Yes, the second one works longer than 24 hours due to it's higher content of SPF 30 and over. You should wear higher sunblock like SPF 30 and over if you need 24 hours protection. This higher ingredients do not allow any UV or UV B rays to your skin giving the full protection in the scorching sunlight. Whereas, SPF 15 or 20 are really mild ones specifically meant for those who wear cosmetics underneath. I think, you should go for the second one.Stay safe from the UVs.

It depends on a few things, how much you sweat, if you are in the water, etc. I would say that if it says 80 minutes, to reapply after an hour. That's what I usually do, just apply every hour or so. And I don't believe that whole 8 hours, I have some too that says that, but I wouldn't trust it.

Just keep on putting it on. WHEN you are in and out of the water you are going to have the reflection on you so remember you will burn very easy. Nothing worse than having a great day and then in the evening you are miserable because you are so sunburned. Remember to keep SPF gloss on your lips as well because that will get sunburned as well. Just dry yourself off and keep putting sunscreen on you. The more the better. Also your feet will be hot so bring some flip flops because you don't want your feet burnt either.Take your flip flops off before the ride( put them kind of hidden) and then put them back on. Have a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apply sunblock at least 15 to 30 minutes before venturing out into the sun and re-apply at least every hour. Re-apply more often if you are perspiring heavily or swimming.
