Taking vitamins can lead to healthier hair, skin, and nails if you take them as directed. But remember you can over dose on vitamins if you're not careful. Healthy lifestyle, healthy eating, and moderate exercises along with plenty of fluids will do more for you than taking vitamins in the long run. Also, if you wear make up during the day you need to wash your face with a gentle cleanser so that your skin doesn't break out.

Actually having the right balance of vitamins is beneficial in a lot of other ways besides clearer skin. The B complex vitamins help with hair and fingernail growth and add the nervous system and I believe they also help the skin. Take a multivitamin with minerals and it should help you.
