There's a creepy old house near where I live. There is a swamp in front of it with slimy moss hanging off of the trees. The house always looks dark, even in the daytime. I'm not sure if anyone lives there, but I wouldn't want to!
Another place that some of you may know is Sloss Furnace in Birmingham, AL. It's really spooky.

Theres a beach near here where a woman was eaten by a shark a few years ago. Every time I paddle by it (on my surfboard) it freaks me out.

The Pest House Museum in Bedford, Virginia! (Google for pics). They have an old hospital where civil war soldiers with small pox were treated. The rooms were darkened with black paint (relaxing/calming effect). The patients were so uncomfortable in beds they were placed on thick quilts on the floor over beds of SAND! Surprisingly they had a good recovery rate, however next to it was an antique funeral home-where there was a horse drawn hearse, a full length widow's mourning attire-black crepe dress and even a black onyx mourning brooch. (Hoop skirted for southern ladies, of course.) There were old books with instructions and tools for embalming in that period. The coffins were extremely small, and one of the fancier ones had a little window in the top so you could view the face on the body. The lady let me read through some of the books and my husband had to drag me away from there. It was creepy, but my morbid curiosity in medical science got the best of me!

The local high school is the scariest. There was this shooting about three years ago. Ever since, all these students have dropped out. They claim that they can hear screams coming from the cafeteria where it happened.

I think the creepiest place would have to be the shower after my 16 year old son has taken a shower. His hair is longer than mine... and the shower gets... uh.... icky after he has been in there. I would think he would be bald by looking at the drain.... LOL.
